Bill Schwab

Bill Schwab is a photographer who grew up in Detroit, Michigan. The city is very prominent in his work, specifically his two portfolios entitled "Detroit: Where We Used to Live" and "Made in Detroit". Bill Schwab uses digital color photography to try and "show the spirit that remained in a city that was dying fast." Since his work is taken at night, the photographs have an eerie and mysterious effect. Schwab manipulates light and uses it to bring attention to certain aspects of the photo. Currently, the photographer is moving away from the night time photography he is known for and has begun experimenting with daytime photography in his new portfolio "Inception:Conception".
