Chema Madoz
Chema Madoz is a Spanish black and white photographer who has forged his own style of photography. Madoz places mundane objects in a slightly interesting background to create a striking piece. His final prints almost always create an optical illusion of sorts to draw the viewer's attention. Madoz attempts to make his audience see these objects in different ways. His goal is to create a sense of altered perception for the world around us and its seemingly mundane objects. Madoz chooses simple and ordinary subjects but creates interesting images due to their placement or relationship to their surroundings. The Spanish photographer studied art history in Madrid's Complutense University and now works from Spain. He uses a Hasselblad film camera to take these striking photographs.
